a new cambelt kit, didnt get a waterpump as that was done 10k ago, and also got a cam locking kit, so over the next couple of weeks i'll be doing that as well as sorting the lazy door lock :)

i do indeed have the dvd and various different tools - all from owning a 25 year old landrover as a toy -2nd day of ownership startermotor went kaput ;D

how long should the belt take to do?  4-5 hours?

4-5 hours is about right for the 1st time.thats what it took me when i did my first a few months back.
i mentioned the spanner because it is vital for the deep set bolt on the crank pulley. if my memery serves me well it is 30mm ,and the deeper the swan neck the better. good luck with it. :y

dont think so.but as im not that experienced i cant remember why.  :-[
it might mention something in the dvd,or someone more expert will probably give a better answer later.  :y

No. You need to be able to get at the nut/caphead for the eccentric (can't remember  :-[ ) in the middle of the 30 mm nut.

The techincal term is Cranked Spanner!  :y
