..has knackered safari. As soon as I touch the address bar or try to '+' a tab, it closes. :(

Thank you, Aaron, turning off safari suggestions did it for me. As I use google as the search engine within safari, I still get suggestions.....as I do on here sometimes  ;D

My son gave me this old I-pad which uses Safari as a default setting and the bugger is always knocking me off saying it,s not connected to tinternet when I know that is is. >:(. Also switches off completely quite often as well.
