The days when Villa was a decent team are long gone.
They have struggled for many years now and will never be a competitive premier league team until they have been relegated a division or 2, cut out everything that is rotten at the club and maybe come back in 5 or more years time with a fresh outlook on what makes a football club.
As far as I can see, there's nothing 'rotten' at the club, the owner wants shut and won't invest, that's all.
They spent plenty in the summer.....
Why sell Benteke? Unless, of course, he wanted out.
If it was not for Benteke we would have went down two seasons ago, we owe him big time for his goals. But i think he would rather sit on the bench at Liverpool than play for a team who,s ambitions have long since gone. Sad times at Villa at the mo.
