I genuinely feel sorry for the fans. Liverpool are not a brilliant team at the moment, but Villa are just letting them walk through their defence.

Was keeping eye on score, but didn't see any of it.

I don't think they're good enough o stay in the 1st division when they go down in a few months.

A terrible day Steve an even worse season, paid £35.00 for todays ticket and not one of those millionaire playboys gave me £35.00 worths of passion. Left after the 4th goal could not take any more.  :-[ :-[ :-[

As far as I know, players get a bonus for each game they play. There'd be no bonus payments today if I was the chairman.

Thought the premiership defeat record might go, but Ipswich still hold the biggest defeat (9-0)against Man Utd >:(

The days when Villa was a decent team are long gone.
They have struggled for many years now and will never be a competitive premier league team until they have been relegated a division or 2, cut out everything that is rotten at the club and maybe come back in 5 or more years time with a fresh outlook on what makes a football club.

Slightly off thread, but I remember when Villa were relegated to the old 3rd division.

Early seventies if memory serves......about the same time Man U. were relegated to division 2.

As far as I can see, there's nothing 'rotten' at the club, the owner wants shut and won't invest, that's all.

I,m somewhat suprised how poor their defence is when you have players like Lescott & Micah Richards in the side. Or perhaps they are just picking up their pay-checks. :-\

As Ronnie says Steve, the players for quite a few years now just don't seem to give a toss about the club :(
It doesn't matter who the owners sign, there is no pride in the shirt anymore.
Players have come and gone, same with managers too but the club and results just seem to stagnated at best or over the last 2 or 3 seasons, just get steadily worse  :(

Why sell Benteke? Unless, of course, he wanted out.
