I've enjoyed them.
Nice to see that the series isn't the usual American TV 20ish episodes using enough material for half that number.

First 2 episodes pretty good, 3rd and 4th episodes not so much, hard to say what they are planning with this mini series, a reboot with different characters has been mentioned, Similar story with the 24 series they're bringing it back without Jack Bauer after that mini London season laid the foundations for the story to continue :-\. Either way good to see them back on the X-Files :y

I think those two characters have just been introduced  ;)

This season has certainly been different but then it had to be otherwise it would be just going over old ground, I thought the fourth episode was ok, a little bit more like the original episodes just a bit more gory.

Only one more to go now, it`d be nice for it to finish with a really good episode.

Why? Just wait till it's on the box. I can't be arsed with all this instant gratification lark.

In which case, is the episode on 5 tonight the repeat of the second episode?

Not at all :y entertaining, and deftly written, but actually quite a serious point... that misunderstanding and presumption can readily cloud ones judgement of any given series of events... ;)
