I thought it must just be the old geezers on here who complained that they couldn't see with normal headlamp bulbs and that windscreen wipers came in good and bad flavours, but no. On the capture forum it's the same. 'Change the wipers, Renault ones are shite. And as for the headlight bulbs........'
So I says to wifey 'Are your headlights bright enough? And do your wipers work alright?'
'Yes, they're fine'.

Must be car forums in general.  ::)

Can't speak for other forums as this is the only one I visit. As for wipers/headlights I must admit I don't see what all the fuss is about, wiper blades I buy the cheapest I can get hold of and haven't had any problems doing so.Headlight bulbs I go with whatever happens to be on the car when I buy it and I've usually got rid of car before needing to change them and it's not that often I've felt the need to go to main beam.

I think all Vauxhalls of late generally have poor headlights, compared to the equivalent on other marques.

Night vision varies from person to person and gets worse with age. Both me and my brother don't have good night vision and my viral eye infection made has made it worse. According to the eye doctors this is normal along with the improvement as my eyes recover.

My long distance vision in good light conditions were exceptional as a youngster. When hill climbing with my dad I could resolve and read a village name sign at well over a mile.

Lights on my first Omega (99 2.5GLS) were poor the next one (1999 3.0 Elite) had Xenons which were far better. The current Royale seems to use candles.

People look at the price of AFL on the option list and presume that they're an expensive gimmick...

Same people then bitch and moan about the quality of the lights ;D

Nah, I like them. Infact, essential on GM cars. But compare a basic Mundanos lights to a basic Insignias lights, you'll see what I mean :y
