Rover V8.
« on: 18 July 2008, 20:36:12 »

There's a Range Rover which potters about nearby which sounds like it's suffering from a manifold gasket blow. The owner does'nt boot it but it still sounds great. That's it really cool though!!!! 8-)

My brother used to own a Rover 3500 on an H plate (1970).It sounded lovely also.Had a strip speedo and no rev counter, but lots of leather.
It was very quick for it's time being in the old 2000/2200 body shell. :y

Series 1, strip speedo and no rev counter in the V8 and no chrome body strips down the middle of the car.

Series 2 V8 had round speedo and Revcounter, 2000 retained strip speedo. :y

These Rover V8 have been used in just about every thing.I think it was originally a Buick lump that Rover later developed.
TVR griffith 500. They really sound like a  demonic little ba*****s.
340 BHP in a car weighing barely a tonne. :y :y :y :y

Ow yes, not aware of any V8 TVR engine that ever achieved anywhere near the claimed output power!
