heated rear seats
« on: 12 March 2016, 07:45:30 »

considering buying a 2.5 cdx 98 plate estate.

how hard would it be to fit rear heated seats.

will the loom be in centre console and under rear seat and simply need seats and be plug and play...

or is there more to it??

When I looked at doing mine, the plugs were already next to the rear cigarette lighter, mounted to the plate. I cannot remember if the wiring plugs are under the seat, but Ibcan double check.

Mine is a 97/98 minute CDs estate so should be the same.

Case of swapping the bench and the 2 main backs, plus plugging in switches and plugging in relay loom (under rear bench).

Apart from relay loom, all wiring in place.

For clarity, RobG's pic is of relay loom.

In addition, obviously you still need switches and the seats with elements in.

Switches are different pre/post facelift...

Have two facelift kits here... £150 because I like you :-* ;D

You'll also need an Elite rear seat as they're the only one which have the heater elements...

Pfl/mfl switches are integral to the cigarette lighter panel, which is then attached to the centre console rear panel.
Fl switches are integral to rear panel :y

Switches themselves are also different ;)

Have you bought the green one from Olney that was on EBay? If so, then doesn't seem a bad buy at that money!
