Blanking plate easily fabricated. Does it need a cheater? Just leave unit in place and plugged in?

Last car I had was a Z22SE Vectra and there were kits for this, just assumed these had the same.

made mine out of a coke tin, same shape as gasket no holes. No need for a cheater just put back and leave plugged in as said
