got to the part where you put the crank locking tool on ok checked timing on 1,2,3,4
all slightly out so could not fix locking tools to cams so tried adjusting as in DVD with 30mm  spanner  gears did not move but rollers came loose tightened rollers up but still did not move so decided to start all over again removed locking tool precoded to rotate engine only thing was belt & CAMS 1,2,3,4  did not move but crank did now crank will not move at all.
New engine or is it retrievable ?

Be careful how you line everything back up though. My recommendation would be to lock the cams where they currently are using the tools, remove the belt and then gently turn the crank backwards to about 60 degrees before the TDC mark, if it's free to move. Then position the cams correctly and lock them. Finally turn the crank forwards to the TDC position, lock in place and start again. If anything feels like it's jammed at any point, don't use any force.

Just to add, if the crank is currently not near the TDC position (I assumed it had only been turned a little way past TDC) then it's not as easy to suggest a solution without having a look where everything is, TBH.

OK. Where is the crank pully currently, relative to the TDC timing mark?

It was 90 degrees past and the cams are 30 degrees past I tried from the start again but the belt is slipping so the crank has turned fully and the cams slightly so as a consequence everything is way out from there original position

Hi Red,
Have you removed the spark plugs.
I had similar problem with belt jumping teeth and going out of sequence on the pulleys because daft me left the plugs in.

Yes spark pugs are in mate will take them out

No, NO NO No......leave them in!

If you set up with them out the tension will be wrong.

Turn the crank back to 60 deg before or after TDC and remove the belt. Now set the cams to there correct position and fit the locking tools (use the markings on the rear cover as a guide).

Now set the crank to TDC and start again.

With the crank at 60 deg before or after TDC you are at a safe point because none of the pistons are at TDC
