Costco Kirkland tool box 42 inch
« on: 28 March 2016, 13:54:39 »

Stumbled across this bad boy last week. It's a beast and is really thick and meaty looking.

For the price too I was most impressed.

Anyone got one / got any more info on good bits and bad bits?

Looks like its got alloy wheels on it as well, should think so for that price.

Nearly 500 quid for a metal box.   :-X

True. But I've never seen one that big for that price. Similar from strap-on would be well in the thousands.

A few years back they had a huge stainless toolbox. IIRC it was around the £2000 mark!  :o

Eyed them up in store before, where I think they are cheaper as well (most stuff is).

Kirkland is Costco's own brand, and generally decent quality

Yeah I've seen this in the flesh and I was impressed how sturdy it looks. And how large it is.

If it helps you decide I've currently got a Clarke HD roll cab and top box, and have previously had snap-on  and I'm about to buy the Costco box.  For the price I think it's well made and it's slightly taller than the Clarke.  The fact it's got a full width drawer is a big advantage in my opinion.

Nice one mate. I think for the price it's a bargain compared to others available. And I'm fast growing out of my hell frauds box
