Well, I woke up this morning, turned to my right and tried to swing my legs outa bed and OOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUCCCCHHHH!!!!!
Dunno what I've done or how I've done it, but I'm in agony with back pain! Managed to crawl to the bathroom & back, then crawl downstairs. Never felt pain like it  brought me to tears.

I can't remember ever being pained by a bad back before and I've done some silly stuff in the past, feels like someone I've gave a ticket to  in the past has made a voodoo doll of me & is sticking red hot pins in the base of my spine 

Doc's rang, appointment for next Tuesday

I suffer from something like this ocsnly, the Doc tells me it is caused by a muscle spasm, and she also said that she also suffers from it, and, as a mother, thinks it was more painful than childbirth!
You have my heartfelt sympathy, I find it takes two days before I can move freely, and about 5 for it to clear up.

You were lucky then!

I get a slipped disc time to time.....doc will only prescribe painkillers and ive ended up at an osteopath to fix me

At least 'when' I do get a diagnosis I'll be able to get things moving privately, glad I kept the Healthcare option subscriptions going at work.

If there is noticable swelling, then anti inflams might work, as liable to be muscle and soft tissue. If no swelling, it could be skeletal, in which case I'd personally wait for quack, and keep pain killers to a minimum - pain is a self defence mechanism to prevent you doing more damage...

It does feel like I've seized up, lower back has no movement in it whatsoever without me sounding like a cat on a hot tin roof! Also started getting an aching in me plumbs now

LAst time I went to the docs with a slipped disk, he prescribed me 5x strength painkillers (that you could buy over the counter) and told me to keep moving.....

Paracetamol and Ibuprofen will help, if you have a bulging disc the docs will give you something a bit stronger to manage the pain so you can keep moving.
The worst thing you can do is rest it as the back muscles will stiffen up and just pull on the nerves more, if you can, get some physio asap as this will help loosen the muscles and will speed up recovery time

Been to the Walk-n centre who referred me to A&E, spent 1hr there and came out with loads of pills destined to get me high for at least a week, then in for physio if needed. Think I may have a bulging disc.

Looking at the pills I got there's - no driving, operating machineary, exerting myself or drinking of alcohol  for at least a week!!!

That list covers pretty much everything... Fuertaventura is pretty good value at the moment... if you can't do anything for a week, you might as well do nothing somewhere warm

Will also help you resist tinkering if the Disco is 2,500 miles away

Just took the second course of my happy pills and  well spaced out, crikey them drugs are GOOOOOOOOD!
Best not get in the car anytime soon
