Ive never changed mine. Does it need to be done regularly say with every oil change? Im really worried now ??? ??? ???

Yep and should have mentioned Audi, mercs and big stupid 4x4s.... oh my mistake if you own one of those the rules of the road don't apply to you. My blinker fluid must be full because mine work every time ;D ;D ;D
