Oddly, I was so close to getting the MV6 when I bought this one as I had a choice of a few at the time as they were Vauxhall Ex Management cars, so were not let loose on "The Public"
Stunning looking car which you have obviously cherished! Dark colours suit the Omega - beautiful!
Although, it always make me smile when Main Dealers (not just Vauxhall) tell potential customers that a vehicle has been used by a Managing Director or someone in a Management position. All manufacturers register a certain of cars every month to themselves; two reasons, firstly to boost sales figures, and secondly allow employees the use of them. After approx 6 - 12 months depending on mileage, they are then available to the Main Dealers at greatly reduced prices, and they then end up on forecourts. Many Omegas were 1st registered to Vauxhall Fleet Management because they weren't big sellers (I have had 3 registered to VFM), and they are generally KM, KV or similar registration. PFL cars registered by VFM had similar easily recognisable numbers (they escape me at present), but they were used by staff at Vauxhall and also at dealers from what I understand. Audi, Ford and all manufacturers do it. Look at the number of nearly new Fords for example on forecourts with Essex registrations, and the number of Audi's with OV or OY prefixes
I remember going to 'closed' Vauxhall car auctions 15 years or so ago and seeing Omegas going through, all from Vauxhall in varying condition, some immaculate and some having had a hard 12 months. Many destined for Vauxhall forecourts.
Many were in very nice condition indeed; it's just the way dealers put the fact that it was an ex Vauxhall car to a customer by saying it was a 'directors' car....
