So the wealthy and well to do are in the spotlight again for their murky financial dealings!  ::)

We also now know why Lord Opti has been looking at BMW's as he obviously needs to shift some cash around quickly!  ;)  :D  ;D

Thing is, reverse the roles. You have millions of quid in the bank, would you not do the same, hide as much as you can from the tax man?

I get hacked off enough with my tax bill, so I don't blame anyone trying to hide their hard earned loot.

If everyone  paid there dues, tax liability's would be less. The fact you have lots of cash means you can employ somebody to get around the tax laws, therefore, lesser mortals have to pay more, to make up the short fall.

Look at Greece, nobody pays enough tax,the rich pay even less. ::)

Paying tax is optional for the wealthy few......but not for the other 99%

I had to laugh when the new FIFA presidents name was also mentioned.

An Icelandic politician has gone too.

Panama will just be replaced by a different tax saving initiative.

Nah, it'd be squandered on the same tosh that New Labour squandered it on in the fat years.

Even if it wasn't, despite what the tabloids and commentards say, the extra money would be so insignificant, it wouldn't allow Mr Average BR tax payer even an hour of not paying tax.

And no, I don't have any money stashed away hidden from the taxman.  Mr Osbourne butt rapes me the same as everyone else, and blows it on unsustainable things like the NHS and adult social care.

That said, if I was rich enough to be able to pay someone to hide money, I might just emigrate to IoM or Jersey or the Caymens.

The wealthy few apparently includes the Unite union. Up the workers.   ;) ::)

And I almost forgot to mention, it also includes the Guardian "newspaper", which is of course the publication which is throwing all the mud around at everyone else.
You couldn't make it up. ;D

I consider Cameron Loathsome and vile, and would find it hard to ever find a shred of sympathy for him, but the hypocrisy of the left, never ceases to amaze me.

Agree 100% with both of these, having received my P60 for the past year earlier in the week I'm feeling a move to Dubai coming on!

Considering some of the carp we spend money on in this country:
- Homeopathic hospitals
- NHS Artwork
- International aid to india - which has a space programme btw
- Index linked DB public sector pensions
- Blair's tent in the thames

I can't blame anyone for avoiding paying into that shower!
