2.6 auto on an estate.
« on: 22 July 2008, 22:36:56 »

Any Good, swmbo will not give up the Mitsubishi, says our 2.0L estate too slow in auto, she was happy enought in a manual, she had to drive it at the weekend and used 'Sport' all the time. I dare not even look to see how much petrol she has left. ::) ::) ::)

Just wondering, and how much for a 51 plate CD, 72000 no details of history.ebay No 250251286377 I used to work with the wife of the owner, a bit of a back street garage, but has two depots in 2 towns.
Would px mine.

Looks nice and clean. It says it has service history up to 62,000 miles but would make sure it's had a cambelt change but if not offer £1600 and you may just have a 2.6 mig on your drive :y

Perhaps I should ask them how much they will give me, to do a deal ;D ;D ;D

Seriously I would want to deal in the sub £500 mark, my car is very very clean and low miles with history. ;)

It does, if we do not get an estate then we might as well keep the Mitsubishi, faster than an MV6. (Ducking as I type this)
we need the estate for the dog, but she has bought some seat protector and argues that a saloon is fine, the Mitsubishi is in a real mess doggy hair wise. ::) ::) ::)

Pretty good, better as a manual due to there being no slip in the torque converter.

Not had the chance to drive a 2.6 yet but the 2.5 is very nice and the V6 sounds nice to but i think with the 2.6 when you put your foot down the power delivery is a little more crisp than the 2.5. :)

massive difference between the 2.5 and 2.6.

I noticed it right away with mine, the 2.6 is much more spirited and torquer that the 2.5 and i get far better mpg on both petrol and LPG

Well I went to see it, looked nice, silver suits the car. Not sure I like these flat radio / heater controls though! Tidy enough I guess, seats were not what I was expecting, same as mine as far as I could tell during my brief look.
Top of centre arm rest missing and door rubbers broken, 72k Car, I know these can be fixed but gave an uneasy feel, a look in the boot and around the car kept saying no. Few scratches here and there, to be expected but worse than my car.
Taligate and rear bumper had been painted and in a couple of places on the tailgate the prep had been poor and you could see where paint had been put on top of rust, few area’s looked ready to come back through and this was a recent paint job. Don’t know how I know that, it just looked fresh. Why not have the scratched rear quarter panels blown in if you were having it tidied, unless and Insurance job.?  Lifted the spare wheel cover and could see no signs of accident damage but did not look under the car.
Foolishly I never got around to talking figures, some young kid in jeans and a t shirt came over to me but by this time something was telling me to leave this alone and walk away, I can always go back again.
 ;)
