Vauxhall Dealer
« on: 22 July 2008, 10:22:23 »

I have just come back from handing in my car at my local dealer for some repairs / service .... i can only say the guy i spoke to was very rude , looked down to me , and when a female walked in as i was in mid sentance told me to take a seat as he needed to talk to her .  Now i belive im in for a hefty bill so surely my money is as good as hers .... i must say though the actual " workers " are all friendly etc and the one i had a phone call to the other day was great but this was the head guy wandering around in his shirt and tie thinking he is better than everyone else , not listening to what i was explaining about the things i wanted fixed . He made me feel very unsignificant and now ive had time to come home and think about it im really quite angry . I dont understand what the female has that i dont that made him dump me in a second ??? Mmmm then again maybe i can  :P

First I would make sure you get your car back to your satisfaction before making any noise.  Will also give you a chance to consider your action without the red mist.

Then a letter to the boss of the dealership and failing that to head office might be interesting.    But think about what you want out of it.   Pissing off the service manager may not be best if you intend trusting him with your car in future..

This should really be in general chat..

... Then ask to test drive their Monaro, and bring it back with the rear tyres down to canvas. [smiley=evil.gif]

I have just had my car serviced by the VX dealer in Tonbridge, Kent.  Apart from the £350 bill for the service & a couple of other bits, the problem that they had was the internal transfer of parts from the warehouse which delayed me getting the car back on time.  However, the service manager rung to inform me that a technician had brought the car in from the car park to have a relay installed, but there was a trailing arm hoist left out, and he had badly scuffed the offside front wheel.  He immediately offered to have it refurbished the next day at no cost to me.  I duly picked it up the following day & the wheel was immaculate, I've got the company's number, & will look to get the others done soonish.  Cost £47 per wheel.

If its a major chain then complain to the head office.

You need to speak to the dealer principle or contact Vx customer services in Luton

Trouble with my main dealer is this.
They charge £65 per hour +V.A.T. and then give the job to a spotty 17 year old apprentice to f##k up who is not even old enough to be paid full minimum wage. :-/ :-/
