Serek and MarksDTM for putting themselves out for me last Monday

After 39 months of suffering this horrible slushbox, I finally got everything in place and at the right time to get this manual conversion done

Early start on Monday morning with a blast down the A15 / A46 / A1 to Huntingdon to meet Serek who as reported on here is a bloody good lad with a handshake like a vice

After a quick chat, with serek going through step by step with what he was going to do to my car, I left it with him to go and get sunburnt with the swans of Huntingdon (and have a couple of beers while doing so

)
By late afternoon and with the phone battery about to die on me, I made my way back to sereks with a few wrong turnings on the way to see how the car was going.
Got there to find serek and his lads finishing off the job

Went for a quick drive to make sure I could get all the gears, handed over the money, shuck hands then off up the A1 to meet the Master for a session on his Tech 2

Well what can you say about Mark DTM that hasn't been said ?
Is they anything that this bloke doesn't know or cant do ?

Plugged the magic box in and away he goes ............
After a blur of questions about the car and with me grinning away in awe and nodding like a bloody donkey, Mark starts to work his magic

If you have never had a tech 2 session on your and think you need one, PM Mark because the way he works that box is amazing

Serek .................  Can't give the bloke enough praise

Cracking job, good price and great service

Just remember that some people have small bones in there hand when you shake it, not steel girders

Mark .............. Thanks for letting me over even though you had been travelling, working all day and had family stuff to do

One of the nicest blokes you could ever wish to meet

A proper gent

Just need to sort out the clutch switch out ( 37 quid from the thieving stealers

) to hopefully stop the revs holding on when changing gear quickly and bleed the clutch / brakes because the peddle is a bit on the low side and happy days, I can start to drive this car in my preferred, rather enthusiastic manor

In the past and with me been a picky bastid, there has only been 2 people who has done major work on my car.
One was Daz (loo-knee) and the other was yours truly

Looks like i've found a couple more

Right, i've been awake for 23 hours and i've just got back from 4, 12 hour night shifts in darkest surrey so off to bed now for a couple of hours then off to the pub to get hammered and watch the mighty tiggers stuff the wendies

Oh, just a footnote about the 3.2's economy
Reset the CID before I set off on Monday morning
Auto box / steady drive down due to slight ATF leak from the oil cooler  = 20.8 mpg
Manual box / very spirited drive back (cos I needed feeding

) =  27.4 mpg

Nuff said
