Courtesy car
« on: 15 June 2016, 19:00:21 »

Daughter in law had an accident a few days ago when another driver shot a red light and hit her car.Thankfully no one was injured, her car is a Focus Titanium[about 3yrs old I think]rear bumper was ripped off and rear quarter damaged along probably with other damage.Repair quote came in at just over $6,000[they live just outside San Francisco]and car is being repaired.Meanwhile they've given her a Jeep Cherokee as a courtesy car.Being a born and bred yank you'd think she'd like it,but no she absolutely hates it.She says the build quality is absolutely dire, with poor handling and even poorer interior and can't wait to get her Focus back again.

Interesting, I know most Merican cars have kack build quality (I've had enough BS hire cars to have driven a broad spectrum). But thought the jeeps were a bit better. Perhaps different in UK vs US? I know Vw golfs aren't the same either side of the Atlantic.

SWMBO will be disappointed, she was eyeing one up after the Yeti.
