Hi guys,

I think my coolant temperature sensor connected to the rad, under the top coolant hose is faulty, as it just turns the fans onto their low setting even when the engine is cold.

So my question is, it looks like I just need an appropriately sized spanner/adjustable wrench to unscrew the sensor, guessing water will come out and then put the new sensor in, screw it back in and then job done.

I will remove the top hose before I do this as it is in the way currently, then I can change the coolant at the same time so it will all be done.

Is the above plan correct? Or do I need to do anything else?

I think so. You might as well do a complete drain, by undoing the plug on the right side of the block, as well as the rad drain, NS bottom of rad. Then if no flush rqd, refill with nice clean pink stuff.

As Shakeng says, do a complete drain and refill...  ...its probably due anyway.

Due to the TD lump have a drain plug on the block, as well as drain plug on the rad, its easy to get all the coolant out
