Why not?


Fit an 1.8 Kseries turbo from a Rover 75, delete the wheelarch extensions, paint it Sienna brown and it could be a laugh.

Its chassis, running gear and engine are from a ZR1 'vette and by Christ does the ground shake when its running. The only thing of the Allegro left is the body, the rest of the car, floor, tunnel, bulk heads, inner wings etc have all been hand built.

I've seen his next project which is going to be just as good but that's all i'm saying

  One of the best things I have seen done to a pair of Allegros some years ago was an estate model and a saloon, both cut in half. Should be enough said at this point but then the two halves were welded together to make a four wheel trailer with an estate door for the rear and the boot lid at the hitch end for his camping gear and breakdown spares. It did look very good
