New Tory leader?
« on: 29 June 2016, 12:23:13 »

I doubt I would vote for any of them but Stephen Crabb comes across as living in the real world.

'Boris the Bloodless' is not for me. He has virtually no experience of senior government.

I'm not being sexist  ::) 8) but I think we can ignore the 'token girlies' who make up the numbers. The job will be too big for them.

I'm watching Cameron on PMQ's. He is very good at what he does and I really can't see anyone filling his boots. As for Stephen Crabb, I've never heard of him.
I fear, after last weeks vote,  that not only will we be poorer as a country but, if we don't choose our path very carefully and put the right people in place, we are in danger of becoming an insignificant laughing stock. There are plenty in Europe who would relish that scenario.

I would have to agree with that.

I think the last thing we need is a 'rabid unhinged individual'....I mention no names. :)

As for Stephen Crabb......google him you lazy northern reprobate. ;) ;D

I would imagine there will be two serious candidates. Boris and Theresa May. Imo Theresa hid behind the sofa the whole way through the EU referendum campaign and that may well wreck her chances, and rightly so.
There is no-one in contention who I think will be the best possible candidate, but I expect Boris to enjoy the spoils of his victory.
David Davis would still be my choice as Tory leader. If they had chose him over the vacuous, compulsive liar Cameron they may have saved themselves a whole lot of grief in the last 6 years.
As for Labour. I can see them actually splitting into two different parties. The MP,s forming a new party, leaving Corbyn with his young, naïve, idealistic membership.

Boris will probably get it, assuming he doesn't bottle it at the last moment, some will say he's the right man for the job, others will probably argue he started this mess so now sort it out.  :-\

The wee girlie who runs Scotland wants the SNP to be considered as the main opposition to the government. Her argument being that the Labour party is no longer fit for purpose. :-\

There's a very strong and powerful 'anyone but Boris' lobby forming. All well and good but, for Christs sake, don't let someone like the intellectualy-challenged Nicky Morgan get in by the back door.

Whenever I see her, I imagine  she owns several horses and has a sister called Pippa.

Why does she always wear a startled expression, like a big black fella has just taken her roughly from behind?

Strewth, Mr Bear. No thanks. She is older than time itself.

Perhaps she has an attractive daughter. :)

A lot of people think that Boris got into Eton due to his background.
In fact, Boris actually was awarded a scholarship due to the grey matter between his ears  ;)

Don't be fooled into thinking he is some sort of bumbling idiot because you couldn't be more wrong were this bloke is concerned  ;) He knows how to unite people and win as he showed during the Brexit campaign  :y

Stephen Crabb is the new William Hague of the tory party imo
A new golden boy with a working class background who will go far in the years to come probably not ready yet  :-\

Michael Gove has shown he can get the job done and doesn't mind pissing a few people off in the process

Forget the girlies because non of them have the charm of Thatcher  ;)

Charming is not an adjective I'd use to describe old iron balls. :D ;D ;)

Let's not hear any more adjectives, or we'll all be reaching for the mind bleach.  :o

You can't even veil that one behind the speculation that she has an attractive daughter. Oh, don't tell me... You would?  :-X
