Aircon debugg
« on: 28 August 2016, 09:12:06 »

My car is due its second year service and I decided to have the aircon recharged and debugged at the same time
My question is regarding the pollen filter VX apparently don't change the pollen filter as part of the services I replaced it myself last year at its first service and took it out about a month ago to clean it , now do I replace it again this year and if so do I wait until the aircon is debugged or change it before then .
The air con does not smell but I thought I may as well get it debugged before it does prevention rather than cure idea
Going in to Eden VX in Kidlington Oxon

Change pollen filter after it's had the anti-bacterial done. You can do the anti-bacterial yourself for about £10. for a grenade.

I have done the debug bombs myself before but wanted it done at dealer as the car is still in warranty
I run the climate all the time so it should be ok but reading it is a good idea to have the system recharged every two years to check it topped up , in the past I have only ever had a system looked at when it starts to play up I am guessing that is the same as most people do

Yes. The system shouldn't lose pressure, but they do, I would hope a 2year old system, is still performing as it should, you can ask them to hook it up to the dalek, and check how much gas it has, then fit a new pollen filter.

A/C is recommended every 2 years and keep using it through winter, think the anti-bac is just if it starts to smell but for the cost (£20 iirc) may as well do it once a year
