omega insurance suggestions...
« on: 08 September 2016, 20:15:52 »

having just obtained a 2016 new car i was going to sell my desmond,,I have spent a lot of time and money on improving and getting the car up to scratch and I do love omegas but no garage and not wanting to work on cars anymore decided to buy a new car...So just thinking about hanging on to it but of course all of my no claims insurance discount has gone onto my new car,,which means that I am being quoted silly high prices on the omega ...even putting it on a dual car insurance the price far outweighs the cars worth...I would only do around 1000 to 1500 miles a year just to keep the old gal in my possession and to use now and then to keep her from going down hill by not being used at all..So any bright ideas as to where to look at insurance companies that would specialise in low mile usage and without n.c.b.discount available,,and without sky high premiums..any help would be appreciated,,thanks..

Classic insurance  :-\ but if it's kept on the road, then that's what your risk is rated for, hence the price :'(

It will be kept on a private parking space at the side of my house in the car park..which is covered by a c.c.t.v. camera from the back of my house....always thought that maybe the car has to be a lot older to be on classic insurance....so I will take a look to see who i can find down that route,,thanks  :y

Admiral has done that on my polcy, but it was hard work. :-\

Also consider the insurance companies that fit the black box, the less you use it the less you pay. :y
