Ebay - Feedback
« on: 23 September 2016, 13:52:32 »

What is the time limit on leaving feedback on ebay?

The reason  ask is that  have (Over many years) bought loads of stuff from china without much hassle at all.  but just recently  am finding that some of the sellers wait about 2 weeks and then send a message asking for me to understand that there will be delays etc etc and then as expected their item never arrives and  lose out as it s too late to apply for a refund.

Typical at the moment, couple of items ordered on the 12/13th of Sept, expected delivery date s the end of oct.

I go back to them stating that they're breaking the terms of contract and to supply by original date, responding with confirmation within 24 hours and then open a case when they do not reply. They soon reply.

Raise it with ebay, demand a refund in full and then leave shitty feedback once the case is closed in your favour ;)

Sounds about right then, they keep in touch and put a postal delivery date on so that it co-insides with the feedback shutoff time.

I do.  Just had 2 where I left negative feed back regards no delivery and poor communication, as soon as feed back was left I get offered a full refund in exchange for good feedback.

Recently I have had a couple of items from China that were faulty and I wrote to the suppliers saying that before I left feedback I would give them the opportunity to respond, and in both cases they replied immediately, saying that they would re-send a tested replacement and not to bother to return the original. The replacements arrived promptly, so I left positive feedback.

There's a similar thing happens on amazons marketplace. Almost immediately you place the order, the seller marks it as dispatched, so you can't cancel the order. Then it takes a week to arrive, meaning it was dispatched about three days later than shown.

A lot of the time on Amazon the estimated delivery time is quoted, when see it`s two weeks delivery from the UK I give it a miss because something is plainly wrong.

Putting the feedback aside, theres a 30 Day limit from (cant remember which) either point of sale date, or advertised dispatch date, in order that you can open a case and claim a refund, after the said 30 days you lose out, common thing with China these days, they keep you hanging on to avoid the refund.
