Turkey is in NATO but is definitely not to be trusted. Erdogan is in the process of cosying up to Moscow while subjugating his own population. If he had Putin's power, he would be just like him.

Turkey was let into NATO so the yanks could keep instant buckets of sunshine there during the cold war and to give the wests strike aircraft a route into the Soviet Unions backyard.

He's been telling the Iraqi prime minister to watch his step this morning. He asked his mate Vlad if he thought it was ok to annexe Northern Iraq and Vlad said, as lots of ethnic, Sunni Kurds lived there that would be fine. Turkey would just be looking after it's own, like Russia in Ukraine.
