Hi nitro
Omega`s problem is: the car is still to cheap. So a typical Omega driver in Germany is a "drive & waste" user. We called those "last hand cars"
My Omega was also such a car when I bought her in a critical situation. But she saved my .... and became part of the family. Also my wife love this car and I am strictly forbidden to give the Ommi away.
But MOT runs out and I bought another Omega, a AT sedan. My first Omega I stored away. This year I found some time to rebuild. Just for fun I asked in a local workshop about the costs. Outstanding, could have bought 3 Omegas with 2 years MOT for this amount.
But I wanted not another Omega, I wanted this Omega, because she is part of my history. So did it all by myself.
But how many Omega owners can do that? A place is needed, tools are needed and the knowledge how to do.
Now my big little lady is my car for summer. The sedan (of course new MOT too) is for winter use.
