Apparently a work of fiction... written in 2012 by Aaron Sorkin of West Wing fame and contained within an episode of The Newsroom.

Beautifully written and equally well delivered by Jeff Daniels' character. One to dig out if that snippet is any measure 8)

Very good and very true. IMO It has all been down hill since Reagan, which was also when the American dream started to die. The Bush's, Clintons and Obama have all been appalling. :( :( :( Read any comments on any bipartisan politics and you realise how divided the US is and also how dysfunctional and toxic their political system has become. :( :( :( Trump is a product of this dysfunction. :o :o :o
