Had my dog put to sleep to day,

I'm sat here in bits, held it together all day at work too...

off to the pub.

That's awful Jon I know! My sympathies to you!  :( :(

Lost mine when I was 7 and still not got over it. :'( :'( :'(  Nothing will replace "your dog", but are you going to get a replacement quickly to cheer yourself up? :-/

Hope a pint or two helps in the first instance. :y

She was a cross breed Hound and God knows what, a family friend was breeding them as a hunting dog,

She was great...

Used her as a tracker in my security line of work and she was my best mate as a young turk.

I wont be replacing her, I've got a cat but he seems to be restless him self

:'( Oh Jon, I`m so sorry to read that; I can only imagine how you must be feeling.....the 'true' love our dear animal-companions show us is a perfect privilege; when they leave, we have the memories of their love and loyalty and a big, dog-shaped hole in our heart. :-*
