I note that there is a Sky contract breach on the broadband Ts and Cs which means you can cancel the contract with them at the moment....should you wish to.

Good news for everyone  :)
Not those who have jumped ship ;D

 ;D ;D

Apparently Discovery accepted the deal Sky proposed some time ago, so they blinked first.  :)

Think I might be doing the same meself...

Iv been a customer of Sky for over 20 years, and not once have they ever sent me anything for free....

I spend £96 a month with them, I used to spend around £130 a month with them... I cancelled the broadband and phone that was with them.

I think minifreek has just displaced Lord Opti as OOF's wealthiest member!  :o

a) to be able to afford to spend that sort of money on TV every month and b) to still have the time to watch the amount of TV that that sort of expenditure warrants!  :)

Fair play to you minifreek and well done!  :y

LOL.... no Lords live here fella...

I pay the fee coz Iv got 3 boxes - all HD and all SKY+... never get e reprieve from paying it, never been offered a reduction from Sky (no surprise there then) and it still goes up....

If the Discovery channels would have been taken from Sky, I would be asking for a reduction in payment - I won't get it, I know I won't get it... I keep getting offers from VM to move over to them for TV etc.. but sadly they don't have the FOX channel, so won't be able to watch The Walking Dead (wife and kids are big fans... I quite like it too... TBH, sadly theres no eye candy on the program for me, but there is for the missus)....

Can see Discovery becoming a web based broadcaster...
Internet streamed broadcasting will soon become the only viable method for commercial broadcasters.  Astra and Crown are cripplingly expensive...

Something I recall saying about was the future some 10 years ago on here.

Satellite has had its day
And Sky have now at last announced what everyone already knew...  ...the entire Sky lineup will soon be available over the tinterweb, and not needing the dish.
