...who put something on gumtree/ebay/autotrader, or worse - preloved where you have to PAY TO CONTACT THEM, and then they don't even have the common fnarking courtesy to A : Remove the listing when it's sold, or B : bother responding to you ever at all. 

Especially when they have the bloody gall to put "no timewasters" in the listing... like IRRRRONNNNYYYY??!

There's no phone number, So presumably, you'd need to make an account, Send a message and wait. You just don't know where you stand with these kinds of listings, At least with eBay (as flawed as it is), you have some idea what's going on.

I think that's the entire point of the site.. the more people they have 'subscribed' the more they can sell advertising space for, I'm sure (and/or sell the business later on)..

I find Ebay to be just as bad personally.  The difference being you're never going to find a bargain* on ebay because there's too many people looking and followed searches to alert buyers who do nothing all day [anywhere north of nottingham basically  ] who have time to react instantly.
