Pps, I was hoping she would get it in rev 'n' go guise so I could drive it..... however sales gimp I mean guy seemed to thin autos in petroleum form e rocking horse shit. That surprised me to be honest. I thought most new cars would be 60/40 of manuals and autos cos people are getting ever lazier  :-\
That engine would struggle with a slushbox. Not exactly a rocket in manual form. But it's not meant to be, it's meant to be an economical runabout.

How times have changed stemo. I'd have bet a hundred notes your post would have been mocking my bald patch  :-\ ;D
Haven't seen it yet.  ;D

Virtuall 100% of small cars will be manuals, with the occasional unreliable auto for those who passed their test in one...

Maybe they were getting them as courtesy cars whilst the BMWs were being repaired?

A far cry from the Hyundai Accent  ;D
From the mid 90s. Cheap and cheerful motoring. Whereas now, Hyundai charge a premium because its a "brand".
.

Now weren't they rebadge astras sold buy Halfords.

As the slogan went...

That'll be the Daewoo...

Cosmetically challenged Astra B and Ascona B initially and ultimately sold as Chevrolet products ;)

Yes. Apparently one  individual thought a Daewoo Chevy was a real Chevy. Just like a Camaro or Corvette.

Hard to believe really. :)

From this forum, I think. What was his name again?

My Chevy was much better than a Camaro or Corvette. Like to see you get a dog crate in the back of one of them. Mine was also good on the fuel, unlike those overrated gas guzzlers. Talk sense, Opti.

The same Astra B that was comically easy to steal... yet there were never any reports of the Daewoo version getting nicked. I suppose a man can only be so desperate not to have to walk home from the pub. ;D
