Three have become socially responsible
« on: 07 March 2017, 13:22:47 »

Just got a text from them, telling me to stay safe and not use my phone whilst driving. They also reminded me that penalties for such transgressions have doubled to six points. Then, in an act of unbridled kindness, they offered to knock £5 off a phone holder from their online store for me.

Does their Base Station Network actually work if you move from A to B at more than 6 mph.  ::)

Why not? I do sometimes. Phone is in a holder...connected to the Ford wireless, magically. I have buttons on the steering wheel for call/answer and end call plus volume up/down....the Ford also has a button for voice operated commands.....so I can press the button and say "Call Steve" , not that I would ever do that  ;D ;D

But not breaking the law......

Yep....its you choice that you don't use your phone legally when driving...

It really pee's me off when I see drivers holding their phone to their ear.....go hands free....it doesn't cost much...ffs...and if hands free....no different imo....than having a conversation with a passenger  ;) :)

It doesn't cost anything as far as I can see. I have a cradle stuck to the windscreen so I can, very occasionally, use google maps. I could put the phone in that and answer a call by pressing the home key. But I just prefer not to cause I'm a funny old bugger.  ;D

You don`t even need the phone holder, Bluetooth works just as well when the phone is in your pocket  ;)

I really should investigate this Bluetooth thing sometime. It sounds useful.  ;D
I think the DAB radio in 50 shades of grey* can do Bluetooth, but Ive no idea what spell I'm supposed to recite to unleash the withcraft within it.  :-[ ::)
