Mother Theresa has told the wee Krankie that there will be no independence referendum until after brexit. I hope she sticks to her guns, she did sound pretty determined.  :y :y :y

Theresa is conservative as well as a Conservative. If she were willing to take a bit of a gamble, I think wee Jimmy would have lost the vote again,and her career would have been finished there and then. Also, no-one would dare mention having another one for at least 25 years.
As it stands, the decision to deny her another vote just feeds the grievance politics which the SNP has used to take over Scotland.

No way. She badly miscalculated the figures. Scotland, as a whole, voted to stay in the EU, but 40% voted to leave. Sturgeon said, if independence was gained, Scotland would try to stay. That is immediately 40% of the voting public not onside. Say just 15% of the remainder vote 'no', she has lost.
Which is why, last night, she said they wouldn't try to stay in the EU.

What Theresa is saying, in my opinion, is 'Do as you like after we've sorted brexit but, for now, don't interfere in the process'. Which is exactly what the evil little cow wanted to do.

It still doesn't stack up to me. Scotland would be another Greece if they got indepence and joined the EU. They wouldn't be able to join the EU. Too many countries like Spain would veto them joining.

Theresa May has done the right thing kicking the issue down the road for  a couple of years. Then the Scots can see what a UK out of the EU looks like and make a more informed decision.

Personally I don't really care if Scotland stays or goes, but I am heartily sick of the posturing and grievance politics from wee krankie and her national socialists!  >:(

The demands to be treated as an equal partner in the union are plainly ridiculous when Scotland accounts for only 8% of the UK population and their economy is about the same percentage of UK GDP.  ::)
