Car in for MOT today.
« on: 23 March 2017, 14:17:53 »

I'm expecting it to fail on a broken spring at the front. Other than that it's fingers crossed. :y

I've also asked then do do an oil and filter change. I supply the oil and filter they charge £20 to do the job.

Well, I assume the front spring will be identical to the 'common as muck' Vectra and therefore relatively expensive. That is the theory anyway.

Good luck with the 3.2.

The Panda does seem to be gender specific. I can't imagine many men wanting to get behind the wheel. If memory serves the original 'boxy' Panda made do with a 750 cc engine.

Where do you get it done? Many places get sniffy about doing labour only & id like to do the same ...

This is a 1.1 to be honest once you wind it up it goes well , but just to small & noisy for me, she only does about 3,000 miles a year in it all short trips so ideal for her.

It's a little family run business in Powys.

Labour charges (when I'm here) are usually £40 P/H.

I've just had news that she has passed. :y

I was told the coil spring was broken about 8 months ago so how is it possible? (unless a broken spring is not an MOT failure)

I can only assume that the Signum is such an advanced design that the metal 'heals itself' like a broken bone. It is either that or witchcraft. ;)
