My 3.2 passed it's MOT, so now legal again  ::)  ;D
I would expect that to fly through if you've looked after it, as it pretty tidy example :y

Adviso on rear number plate, been a long time coming that.  ::)

Oh and corroded front disc's, which I expected.

I'm scared to take off the sills though  :'(

When the car transports your wife and daughter, I want to know it's sound underneath.

The 3.2 will probably be gone soon  :-X

Assuming you do basic tasks like washing it, and getting salt off in the winter, it'll be fine

Strongly considering something like this, although it's has a serious issue with middle seat not being ISOFIX. The S-Max which I consider a better car is considerably more expensive.

The Pisshat will rust as well if you don't wash the salt off.  That's what killed your 2.2 ;)

And your rusty bullet  ;)

Besides 17 years old? That means CC has 14 years to go? Happy with that  :y

Clearly the Silver Bullet wasn't as bad as your 2.2, as its not written the car off :).  Just as well, given the lack of anything viable to replace it with.

But a little effort of cleaning off the salt after use will extend your car's life, hopefully to another 14 years (but probably not) :y.  Its the laziness of VAG owners why you don't see many older than 15yrs.  I knew an Audi owner (80 or 100, can't remember) who was bragging his car would never fail an MOT, as it couldn't rust, and no amount of talking common sense was going to convince him otherwise.  He was livid when it did fail (spectacularly, I believe he scrapped it). Silly arse ;D

2.2 passed it's MOT with the rusted sills it had, just my choice to stop driving it considering the large structure issue.

Given LD's 03 Plate estate was showing signs as well, suspect my 3.2 will be not far behind.

LD's was not that pretty underneath 5 or 6 years ago when we were changing a radiator on it.  I've seen your 3.2 naked, with no bumpers and sill covers on, and it was near bloody perfect.  That was less than 6 years ago :).  It'd have to be pretty extreme for it to be serious now.  If you are concerned, check and treat now. Damn sight easier than cutting bits out and welding new in :)
