Car insurance - check the occupation... save money!
« on: 04 April 2017, 17:54:40 »

Just doing the annual "give me some discount" dance and realised we didn't update the policy when MrsGK swapped jobs - saved 10% as a result, before any other haggling! Worth a check if you've changed industry... :y

I saved 50% by telling them I had retired when I packed up work.

They load the insurance if you put bar/waitress/hotel work as they "asume" you drink whilst working.

I went through all the trades on a site once, crazy how much the policy price changes just for the job, also it depends on post code area, I moved 4 miles and my insurance went up 26% >:(

That means you are a 'coffin dodger' who can't see two feet in front of your face and have already killed 3 cyclist today without even being aware of it. :)

Premium should go through for the very young and the very old.  :)

Yep....I tell the insurance company I'm a nun who only uses her 1963 Morris Minor once a week to open a soup kitchen for the needy.

Effin insurance !

Just had my first full renewal since switching from MV6 to Volvo XC70. Holy cow £540 !

Maybe I should change my occupation from professional international playboy to non-driving hermit.

Do you think that would work for me when I renew my taxi insurance  :-\
