I think I'd be happy with the Duster.  Afterall it'd spend most of it's time sat at the airport car park while I spent the money I'd saved on depreciation on happy travels!  :)

Depreciation is not too much of a worry for me. I buy used. My astra cost me £8,000 at three years old and with 8,000 miles on the clock. Someone else paid for the depreciation.

Depreciation is actually very handy if you buy used. :y

Wasn't the Lotus Carlton one of the least depreciating production Saloons of all time?

I would have thought so, yes. Cant remember how much they cost new, but a decent one will still cost around £20k, which is pretty good for a car more than 25 years old.
Like most of these types of articles, it needs to be taken with a fistful of salt.

Fella at a layby snack bar the other day reckoned my 1999 BMW 530d estate was worth £10,000!  :o

I offered to sell it to him.  :y   He declined.  :-\

Yes. and you can add to that a number of recent performance cars (some 911 variants spring to mind) that have either held their value appreciated since their production.

Sooner keep the cars I have & keep the cash saved to pay for holidays . If I had bought the cars that I have new they would have cost me £93,000 ! They cost me £12,750 let someone else take the big hit, complete mugs anybody who wastes that amount of cash on any vehicle.
