The police can never be sure they have whole thing

And, additionally, are probably sick of wannabe police coming up to them all the time...

Doesn't matter if they're sick of wannabe police approaching them or not - if there are genuine grounds for a complaint by any member of public they are duty bound to investigate it.

I'm guessing they, rightly, do not think someone coming in with a video snippet is genuine grounds...  ...and good on them

That wasn't a disgruntled member of the public filming him though - that was the rider filming himself. Too much interbreeding in these parts makes people stupid.

TBH I do see your point, if everyone started taking in phone vid clips etc to the Police then they would be overwhelmed - I actually agree with you for the most on that one.

As far as entrapment goes, entrapment is when the Police unlawfully attempt to get someone done for something, if a member of public tried to "set up" another MoP then it would be incitement (pretty much same thing, though)...

I do think there are SOME circumstances (very exceptional ones) when video evidence should be reviewed if there (Eg, if someone is hurt) but for the day to day idiots you see - in order to follow up every snippet of that you'd need to multiply the current Police Forces tenfold!

brackley ok place. i sometimes sleep in lorry overnight outside copshop on industrial estate. tesco over road to restock my fridge, loads of food plces to choose from in town, and the lovely locomotive for a cold guiness before bedtime in my hotel scania
