Boot carpet
« on: 05 May 2017, 12:04:58 »

My boot carpet is ruined 😢 I had some rusty metal in there and it's got horrid stains. Tried washing. Hasn't touched it.

Vx want 158 + vat for new one.

I'm not paying that lol

So. I read on another thread about spray dyes for interior material. Is this right? If not any other ideas

Cheers

Breaker.

The one in mine was pretty tidy, bar the holes for mounting the LPG, so there should be good ones about.

its only carpet .obviously you wouldnt want any flowery pattern stuff ! .but grey or black carpet can be found anywhere.especially as its the boot floor.they do tend to pick up marks easily

Yes, I posted that (the problems that caused!!) and I am still trying to match the right colour with yet another batch of TRG The One colour dye sprays, available via amazon.

However, recently I acquired a very good replacement Omega boot carpet  from a breakers for £20 inc. P&P.  Worth every penny, and far cheaper and far less hassle than spraying.  So as others have said look for a breaker with one. Try Ebay "Vauxhall Omega Spare Parts" and lists of spares will come up, including carpets. But of course we have breakers on this site, so see if they respond :y

spread it out on the ground and jet wash it.

Too much  effort for me; as long as it doesn't transfer dirt to stuff I put in the boot, the carpet is  clean enough.
