Unrelated but related. I was reading yesterday how Human Resources (HR) now run companies with respect to their outward facing public perception. HR used to hire and fire, and make sure people got paid. They now hold meetings with bosses and run courses for employees, educating them in such things as transphobia, racism, sexism, etc, etc. They are not interested in productivity or the bottom line. You know, the stuff that keeps companies working.
Their ranks have risen by thousands since the pandemic, 80% of them are female graduates and they perpetuate their own power because they, of course, are the people who hire their own employees.
There was a bright young chap in the article I read who sacked his whole HR department, and most of the company's problems disappeared with them.
The very same breed who run HR are running universities, government departments, etc. We need to challenge them, but I fear it may be too late.
Just been reading that the National Television Awards have selected an all female shortlist for the drama award. Are all our male actors suddenly shit this year. Box ticking at it's finest.
Though just trawling through the lists of all the categories, its mostly all rubbish mainstream t/v anyway. Glad i watch YouTube or Netflix.
Do some of them have meat and two veg.
We need to be inclusive of all women.
