Dawn Nicholls, none of you will know her but she is the nicest kindest lady I've ever known she ran the local to us Boxer rescue , she lived and breathed for the welfare of this marvellous breed of dog , she lost her husband exactly a month ago & I guess she just lost the will to live without him. May they both Rest in Peace.

I'm guessing they wanted to go out on their terms. :-X

He was 95 and the alternative of finishing your days in your own piss in some care home probably didn't appeal.

Maybe, but his wife was only 64. Let's hope she had a choice in the matter.

That instantly made me think of a song Mindy McCready sang...

When her estranged husband killed himself, she muddled on for a bit, then one night went out on the porch, shot her dog and then herself ;(

I heard the BBC say earlier that she 64 ..... she was 'only' 63. BBC seems to have just taken 1961 from 2025 but she was born Dec 61  :y

There's plenty I'd track down if that thought ever entered my head, I never forget people that have tried to take the piss.

It's a love thing, you just know your dog would never be happy without you.
