Happened to my friend a month ago...just told the wife he was off to bed...never woke up

For your friend though, if his time was up there could have been a lot worse ways to go..... 

Snuffing it in your sleep is not uncommon once 70 has been reached. Especially if overweight.

Interesting question.

I died 3 times in hospital so I was told after.

It certainly was an experience. only memory I could say i recall was sudden blackness nothing like going under or falling asleep.

But am still here to moan about life.
