Surprised you haven't considered the astra estate. Plenty of 1.4T's about and deceptively large. Probably not that many autos (in fact, I think most of the autos are 1.6), but it's worth a look, I think.

Having said that they are exception value and plenty to choose from, over 100 petrol autos on trader.

Do look surprisingly big, might have to check one out.

There's a pug 308 on auto trader that would merry your requ's (other than being £1.5k over budget) 2015. I fear you may struggle to hit all of your criteria with the budget you have.

I doubt they would do good deals on 1.4T they are all diesels out there, have a feeling 1.4T would be special orders.

Not sure what engine, but doubt it would be 2.0 CDTi at that price.  Not sure on engine options on newer ones, would guess it would be the very cheapest model available, which is likely to be a NA petrol. Did they still do a 1.6?

Perhaps, but it IS the largest estate money can buy besides they actually feel like they might last twenty years, which reinforces the vfm

If E Class in petrol form with 2.0/2.5 engines were in plentiful amount, I would strongly consider one. But only a handful of examples about.

Still keep coming back to Zafira, nothing so far is beating its size, age, low miles for my budget

This applies across the board... Good sized family cars have been rare for at least 8 years. Seemingly something you have found time and time again yet steadfastly refuse to accept...
