OBD-ii scanner for 2003 2.2 auto?
« on: 12 July 2017, 17:48:27 »

Any recommendation for a fault scanner / reset tool for a 2003 Omega 2.2 CDX auto. I have access to one of these off ebay but it doesn't want to work with the Omega.

i have one like this works well if you are comfortable with a laptop and installing software
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/401211974509

can't go wrong for £2.57 delivered, you may have to buy some software though

can reset codes with mine and graph stuff see http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=139765.msg1810362#msg1810362

Thanks for the suggestion but that device comes from China, so will likely take a month or more to get here. And I don't really want to mess around looking for software. I want something quick that works on a 2003 Omega. If it works on other makes of car such as a Skoda and if it also works on a 1996 Omega then that's a bonus.

Does anybody know if these "Tech2" scanners are any use? They seem to be selling like hotcakes.

Ok for £1 more you can get it from the uk by monday www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252932359391

genuine software which I think will work with that is here, fifty quid: http://www.wgsoft.de/en/shop/obd-2-software-products/scanmaster-elm-for-elm327.html .

however it sounds like you will want something less complicated.
