... or is there more to this story about the British girl who was kidnapped in Italy than meets the eye? 

Apparently the people trafficking gang that kidnapped her so they could auction her off into sexual slavery on the 'Dark Web', released her when they found out she had a child, as they don't sell girls with kids.    Who knew there is a People Traffickers Code Of Conduct? 

Rather than just kick her out onto the streets, a gang member took her to the British Consulate and was arrested by the Italian Police. 

Maybe just a coincidence but the arrested gang member is a Polish man who lives in the UK.  The girls mother is from Poland. 

She has given a brief statement to the media outside her house wearing skimpy hot pants and a strappy little top which displays her assets rather nicely, but she seems remarkable calm and happy for a young girl who has just been through what you'd think is terrifying ordeal and a very very lucky escape.    I would have thought that she would have valued her anonymity at a time like this. 

Maybe I am just being cynical and she has had a very lucky escape from a horrifying experience and this is the tip of a very dark iceberg where girls are abducted all the time and sold off.   

It just sounds a little iffy to me....

Just to pick up on a couple of points. Are you sure she was outside her house giving the interview? The mic that was shoved into her face seemed to have an Italian broadcasters logo on it. And as for valuing her anonymity, she's a page three girl from the daily star.

The suberb in which she was interviewed certainly looked more Coulsdon than Caravaggio to me.

Odd story but plenty of sex trade trafficking from Eastern Europe goes on. In the UK it is now run by Albanian organized crime, where the majority are ex-military and play too tough for the former Italian and Russian mafia who are by no means choir boys.
