I agree.
I must admit with fuel cost I do (when I'm being good) drive with economy in mind, but I would rather use the brakes and risk loosing 0.2mpg over my trip, rather rear end whatever is in front, or run a red light
I got 21mpg on a motorway run tonight, didn't think it was tooooo bad for a 3.0
I get that kicking arround in the village in my 3.0 and thats not exactly taking it easy.
Would expect 28 to 30 depending on weather and reasonble drivng in a 3.0 on a motorway
Went to Mablethorpe on Friday via the M180 computer was showing an average of 38MPG with 44/46 in places on the instant display. Forgot to reset/check the computer at the end of the motorway, but did 75/80 mostly in cruise mode.
Average for trip there was 26.3 and 27.8 on way back (all country roads, certainly stretched the cars legs into country off the motorway. as it was the first decent run I had out in the car. Toyed with a Beemer on the twisty roads, he was pissed off he couldnt shake me, was impressed with the car, but fully understand why you guys prefer to upgrade to the MV6 springs/suspention. Not a fan of the bigger rims, but I think they might have made for a better run back from the coast on LPT's
So am hoping for an average of 40+ one day on just a motorway trip to Cleethorpes. Will be an interesting test.
