It should make no difference to the premium, if it does, change ins comps  :y

As to the DVLA, no need to tell them.....it will just stay as petrol as the fuel.....however if you want LPG on the V5 and slightly reduced VED, then you have to provide iirc the bill from the LPG certified installer, the certificate, Insurance doc, MOT, the current V5 and your current tax disk and obviously you have to goto your nearest DVLA office with this paperwork.

blimey that's a lot of jumping through paper hoops for a new V5. and i can't find any reference on the dvla site that VED would be reduced for having LPG!... oh unless it's a post 2001 car. :-/

Oh yes sorry forgot to mention that bit  :-[

For gawd's sake take some Kendall mint cake and a PDA to surf OOF or you will die of malnutrition / boredom in the queue of shady used car dealers.  ;D

Discovered how it affects insurance this morning at 8am...

by waking me up!!  >:(

Seriously, when i asked to swap my policy from an Elite saloon to a GLS estate they said no problem. in fact it's £17 cheaper for the year so most of the admin charge will be covered.  :y

oh but lpg? ah. better ring Norwich Union to check. and yes 20 hours later i get the decision, it's fine but they need an install cert faxed over in the next fortnight.  >:( what a pain!!

least the local 46p/l dealer is countering the pain  :)

Vectra Elite Estate doing good post-Omega service but still not as nice to sit in.

One last Omega on the drive, one Corsa on the lawn...maybe they'll go to a good home before too long!

got mine installed pro and they provided a certificate. if its a DIY you can take it to a pro to do a check for a charge to get a certificate (if it passes!)

when i informed my insurer they put my premium up by £50 for admin charges now the car apparently has a higher market value.

as regards to the V5 they will change it provided you have all the relevent paperwork, (i didnt, forgot the V5!) but she said there is no point as the V6 dosent qualify on the powershift register for reduced tax and is not congestion charge exempt. also the government funding for eco cars was scrapped in 2005, as it was seen that the savings in fuel costs would cover the conversion costs, in other words there being tight bar stewards!
