Hi all,i know this may have been asked before.But what site is the most accurate as i have just tried 5 different ones all different results.Dean.

just type "speed test" into google.  They use M-Labs, very quick, no ads or fancy stuff.

The most accurate is the BT Wholesale provided one, using the walled diagnostic account. This will tell you what your line is capable of without any ISP inference...  ...and if you enter your phone number, gives your profile info.


Obviously, never do speed tests over wifi, unless you're a bit retarded.


For info, most ISPs have the capability of playing silly beggers with the well known speed testers, to make them look better ;)

I always suspected that, the amount of times I`ve had buffering on a 100Mbps connection and as soon as I do a speed test low and behold it`s achieving near enough the full 100Mbps speed  ::)

I think I will be giving Virgin 30 days notice to cancel as they are putting another £3 on the monthly bill, just who to change to?
