Try pressing and hold (more than 10 seconds) the Eject Button for a while, might also be worth selected CDC and Eject? did the sat disc eject ok first time.

When the disc goes in or ejects, part of the upper Disc holder bit drops down into the CD, it does the reverse when ejecting, so it may be the disc is caught on this or the disc has started to come out or is caught on something else, can you see the disc through the slot with a torch?, you may have to use a credit card, another CD or something to push the slot dust cover apart but dont push the card too far.

Im going back in time a bit now, but fairly sure years ago when I pulled a NCDC and just before posting it out I remembered I left my SatNav Disk in there, Im fairly sure I just took the top cover off and released it somehow, but it was a looong time ago.

Although Im no expert on these Im still not convinced that these issues your having are perhaps down to a faulty or attempted repair, did you end up paying for the works?

Audio disc wouldn't budge with any amount of button holding and pressing in combinations so have removed entire unit and will investigate further.

In all honesty I had similar fault before the replacement laser was fitted(assuming it was ) so Im no worse of than I was before as paid nothing and ditched the laser part I was given back which did look old compared to what I gave him.

Sure I will fix it one way or the other ...and get my audio cd back out  :)

On my 3.2 estate the sat nav would play discs but the actual cd player wouldn't. and I don't need a disc now as my 2000 2.5 elite doesn't have navigation in it.
